Lost Ark might arrive on consoles in the near future
-
In light of the Korean MMO experiencing huge success on PC Some might be wondering what console games could be coming in Lost Ark's near future. In actual fact, the topic was mentioned during the interview of Amazon Game's Franchise Manager Soomin Park. Although his response was far from concrete, is appears that console versions are possible.
British games journalist Sherif Saed has recently interviewed Park on a range of topics including publishing rights, the comparisons with Lost Ark and Diablo 3 and the reason Lost Ark took so long to reach the west. In the context of the Diablo 3 comparisons that the game's console ports were brought up as well, with Saed noting the game's success across multiple platforms. However, Park wasn't able to provide a clear either or not answer on whether Lost Ark might arrive on consoles in the near future. "If Lost Ark on consoles is something that fans actually want," he told Saed, "then I think it's something both sides could consider!"
By "both the parties" Park is presumably talking about Amazon and Smilegate, who share licensing rights on the game. Park clarified the partnership between the two companies by explaining why Lost Ark isn't available in the Middle East or parts of Europe. Unlike previous Amazon Games titles such as New World, the company does not own Lost Ark. Rather, it is partnered together with Korean publishing company Smilegate RPG, who own the intellectual property rights. Park stated that the deal doesn't grant Amazon the right to distribute Lost Ark globally, only in certain regions that are part of Europe, Oceania, and the Americas. However, this leaves it difficult to determine when or if Lost Ark might arrive in new nations. If you want to know more about product information can go to https://www.p2pah.com/lost-ark-gold.html
